Some pregnancy tests claim to be able to detect the pregnancy hormone 5 days before you miss your period. All women are different and produce that hormone in varying amounts. You're likely not to pick up the hormone that soon. As hard as it is, I would wait until you miss your period. Otherwise, you'll end up spending a lot of money in pregnancy tests. (And I speak from experience!)

The First Response test can be taken 5 days before a missed period but you can get a false negative that early. It's better to wait until your period is due or even a week or so after that so that you can be sure the result is correct.

EPT and First Response say 5 days before missed period. You should use first pee in AM to get the highest concentration of urine. If the egg did not implant right away, you might get a false negative. I always buy a two pack just to have an extra if I do miss my period.

Yes, you can BUT only up to 5 days before you are supposed to start AND it won't be as accurate as if you wait until the first day after you have missed your period. The best way to find out early is to see a doctor and they can draw blood to test.

Good Luck!

I took a test 4 days before I was due for mine and got an accurate positive. I used "First Response Early Detector". Anything earlier than that, I would not trust the results.

I took a test before I missed my period and it showed up positive. Some are designed to detect pregnancy early but it also depends on the person and if they are realesing a lot of hormones.

Depends on which kind of PG test you bought. The "EPT" ones say you can check up to 5 days before your missed period. I would check this morning with one and save the other one until you get closer to your period (if you bought the one with two in it)

the earliest a test will show up is 5 days before your period is due but it is advisable to wait until the first day your period is due for a more accurate reading, unless you want to waste your money.

if you buy a test now.....and it comes back negitive....you are just going to want to by another test later...so just wait until you have missed (what if you dont miss???) so you dont waste your money! the longer you wait to take a home test the more accurate it is
