You need to contact the police straight away and report it lost/stolen and inform the passport office and then you will need to apply for a replacement passport. You can get an application form from the post office and you also need an additional form L5O1 which is available from the post office.

If you are abroad report it to the British Embassy in the coutry you're in. If you're in Britain apply for a new one, I believe there is a section on the form for lost passports, they should know at the Post Office or phone the passport office/ go to their website.

Depends where you are! If at home report it immediately to the Police and contact the Passport Office (Hope you kept a note of your passport number as it helps) If abroad contact the nearest British Embassy. happened to me while abroad and they were terrific! Really took great care of me! From tea, sympathy to sorting everything out so i could still go home sweet home!!!

There are passport offices dotted round the country find your nearest one with a google search. They will give you a form to fill out and a date to meet someone at passport office to issue you a new one, do this ASAP it's very busy in summer time, this will cost £75. I did this recently too i feel your pain!!

In America we just apply for another Passport, stating yours was lost/stolen. As Stated you may want to contact whoever does Passports for Britain.

I think the category is for embassies. The British embassy can probably give you a new passport and you do have to report a missing one right away.

If its definately lost, you need to report it to the police and obtain a crime reference number then go post office and get a form completed to apply for another one.
