I'm in grad school and I am so tired of being broke, lonely, depressed, frustrated and worried all the time. I'm up to my @ss in credit card debt, not to mention the $60,000 + I've racked up in student loans. I feel so helpless sometimes. I'm not trying to feel sorry for myself I just want to now if these hard times will ever end?? Will I have to live like this forever?

Hopefully, it will end one day soon. Grad school is expensive but think of it as an investment in your future. A person with a graduate degree is more likely to get the higher paying jobs out there which means that you'll be able to pay off your student loans and credit card debt bit by bit. Just try to keep your head up and do the best you can.

That's up to you, MM.
After all, I assume you are gaining all that knowledge because you intend to do something with it career-wise, as opposed to just being a professional student all your life, yes? If that's the case, than once you get your degree, and a decent job, you can start paying off your loans & debt, and enjoy life a little. If you don't try to live beyond your means, you should be fine. However, if you have no social life at all, that is not healthy either, so maybe you can dial back the school work a little, and do some fun stuff (a bike ride, hang out with friends, etc.).

Good Luck.

You're a grad student and you cannot figure this out. What's your major? Physical education?

Look, there's this thing called "delayed reward". It means basically that you put in the money and the work now, and later down the road you get a good paying job.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel. You are just a whiner.

Hang in there, I'm in the exact same boat as you. What are you studying? Certain fields are very in demand and you can demand a higher salary because of your education. Also, when it's time to repay your loans you can always consolidate and find the lowest possible interest rate as well as the least amount of money per month that you have to pay. Don't worry, there's always a way out. :)

No or Yes. It depends on you. It's very hard to chance but you have to start thinking in different way. You have to be positive and you have to work really hard. It seems that you have a routine and you keep doing the same things over and over waiting for something to happen. It won't if you don't do something. Dreams can come true but not by going to sleep.

nope... just say "f**k it" until the feelings of doubt, fear and depression leave and then deal with it in a positive, optimistic frame of mind. might be easier.. life sucks in all different types of ways.. so i guess its just gonna keep sucking for everyone until we die. so, best to have no worries and some good fun while we're here

No, when you get out of school, you'll have a great job waiting for you because you started looking for one about a year before you graduated.

Hang in there, tiger. It's only debt and when you break out and get a job it will still be there, but then you will be able to handle it!
