Does the Earth's orbit change? If so, how? Can this effect electronic equipment? I had some problems with a CD recorder (stereo component) last night in which the recorder wouldn't start up properly- like reading a CD that wasn't in the tray and displaying a message- 'reading' but it just hung there. Also, the trays would not open.
A couple friends of mine blame it on electro-magnetic fields due to the earth's orbit changing. I personally think it's on the fritz and probably needs to be fixed, but I always try to consider all possibilities. So could they be correct? I turned on the recorder this morning and it did work properly!!!!! What's up with that?

dont believe so but the sun does have solar storms that can affect electronic communications.

I believe the problem with the CD player is the batteries are getting low in power, the door or lid isn't closing properly. My daughter had a similar problem
