I dont know why everybody is crying, it's not a bad park at all... I have definately been to parks that were horrible, and this is not one of them. Rides, Best Shows, and a waterpark in one... What else do you want???
Tickets are like in the 25 buck range (with a coupon you can pick up anywhere, Coke cans for example), Sea World's cheapest adult ticket will set you back about 40 bucks for 1 adult.... Been to both, would take Fiesta over Shamu anyday. I'm not knock'n SeaWorld, but if I had the choice, it would be Fiesta.
And to the people complaining about it being "hot at Fiesta Texas"...... YA THINK?????? DUHHHHH, it's summertime, it's TEXAS...... If it wasn't hot, we'd call it wintertime....
Ohh, and on the subject on the "kids operating rides"... uhmm, i think that's EVERYWHERE!!! Who do you think makes your food at McDonalds??? AS IF the kids are the ones who inspect the rides daily.... All they do is make sure everybody is fastened safetly (which in my thought, if you had any commen sense, you'd make sure for yourself you were fastened safely). They have maintenance people who sit in a computer room all day and observe the rides and are alerted when problems arise....
Do Fiesta, You'll Love It !!!

I gotta tell ya, the people who call Fiesta Texas expensive have never been to Disney World or Universal City or a bunch of other theme parks that are 'popular'.
Fiesta Texas is not that expensive, there is a lot to do for all ages. The food is pricey but isn't it at all those places, as well as circuses and fairs and places like that.
You'll have a good time!! Be sure and see the Alamo and the missions.

I'm a SA native and I love going there!! It is a bit pricy, but it's so awesome.
Unlike other Six Flags, you get a taste of the local culture and flavor... like the Hispanic influences mixed with Tex-Mex style. Like there's this classic rollercoaster called the Rattler... not the best, but the set-up is nice, like you're in the Wild West or something. :)
I'm a bit particial, but I think it's the best Six Flags... and I'm been the Great America in Chicago, and the the one in the Arlington/Dallas area (and the one in Houston before it closed).
Hope this helps!

I am terrified of the "summer jobs" that are given to teens that operate the rides. i'm not sure how much experience they have, but it scares me to think that a big corporation like six flags would leave the lives of thousands of visitors to kids. I went to the one in Jackson, New Jersey. Scared out of my wits on each and every ride I went on. I'm still alive though, hehe.
DisneyWorld recently had a mishap, involved a death of a boy. Not sure what happened, but something else happened not so long before that one. I guess, use your intuition, check out the ppl operating the rides. Are they sleeping on the job? goofing around? etc...i'm sorry to be such a downer, but you asked for an opinion.

The worst six flags park ever made because it is mostly for old folks too much entertainment but it has some rides. Six Flags Over texas is better

Unfortunately, I've been to Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA, and it is way better than Fiesta. My kids love it, though, so we go as often as possible. Besides, hanging out in the water is much better than suffering the summer heat!

Like most theme parks it is a plastic world designed to draw people and bilk them for as much as they believe they can.
If you are going to SA I would suggest going to the Alamo and maybe some of the missions there. they are very interesting. There are many things to see and do in the Alamo City that are not only fun but educational.
There is also South Padre Island where you can play in the Gulf of Mexico's warm summer waters or fish for some of the greatest fishing. SPI is close to Port Isabel and Brownsville, TX.
There are thousands of exciting and educational things to see and visit in Texas without having to go stand in line in a plastic world that offers really nothing for your investment.
Get a travel guide from www.TravelTex.com or call 1-800-452-9292 They can give you a ton of really good information..and please forget the plastic world...it is no fun in the long run. But have fun

Sea World is better and not as expensive; the Seaworld's waterpark is also better. Plus, at Seaworld you get two free beers at the Budweiser Pub behind the Clydesdale's.

Several years ago it was nice. I haven't been there in about three years, but I live in San Antonio and have heard that it is really trashy now and has taken a noticeable turn downhill.

It's fun! Not the best park out there, but it has some great rides. Just stay away from the grizzly, unless you like rickety old wooden rides.
