Dude, that sounds so rude. I would be mad too if someone said that to me in front of all of my friends like that. I think you need to appologize to her and beg forgivness and buy flowers and sweets... all that typical stuff you get when you're in the dog house. Then the next step would be think about what you say before you say it and try not to be such a typical man about what you say either. That is just such a typical man thing to say anyway. I would rank right up there with getting your wife a vaccume cleaner and broom and dustpan for christmas. Just not smart on a man's part at all.

Oh boy, that didn't work out like you thought it would, huh? 1st, understand that she has a right to be upset with you because you caused her to feel bad and let her know you were just having a little fun (you were, right?) Make it up to her by inviting her friends over and apologizing to her in front of them. Maybe make them all some dinner and YOU do the dishes LOL. Just let her know you really are sorry and it will work out.

Well Ya know what? That was not funny. She felt like a child when you said that. She is truly your equal, not your child.
You owe your wife, and her friends, an apology. Say you are sorry and then try to imagine how you would of felt if in front of the 'boys' your wife had done the same thing.

First, nice one.
Second, dumba**. It is likely she won't stop being mad until you've apologized and apologized and done something nice for her and then apologized again. If you've done all of that, then you need to just have a conversation with her about what else it is you've been doing that has her angry and be prepared to take notes - the list will be long.

You are inmature and rude... and you humiliated her in front of her friends by being a chauvinist pig.... and insulting her by taking away her dignity... no one would like that...would you?

You have to make it up to her. This will be a nice opportunity to do something that she always wanted and you never did, such as, a secon honeymoon, renewing your vows ar a new couch...

Prepare for third world war...now you know better than to humiliiate a lady...... get on your knees and beg...or get the silent treatment for months...

You'r'e such a gizzz....One of the females truths is "When women feel special they will perform special". You have made your woman feel "unspecial". Now you can practice your "handstroke" for awhile. Nothing was gained from this and she will remember this episode for a long long time after you have forgotted it. SOmeday she will remamber this and all of the Shiatheel things you have done and she will cash them in with interest.

I wonder if that's how you normally talk to your wife.

That isn't right at all, putting her down in front of her friends. What if she did the samething to you when you're with friends, ever think about that?

Marriage is about companionship and loving, not getting a maid that will do your dirty work.

You need to change your attitude about marriage

I think you should have never said anything in front of her friends, you made her feel worthless but didn't mean too. I would be thinking of some way to make her fill better about herself and you.

Some comments get under people's skin faster than you might think. Because it was done in front of others, she's mortified.
