The same thing that's cool about everywhere - the differences and the similarities. The good and the bad. It's all down to individuals. (Food and scenery are big pluses.) I'm an American married to a European and I've had amazing experiences all over the world. (I've also been bored and/or cheesed off all over the world. Bettina B. - I've been rushed by Europeans and had some of the worst food on the planet in France - one can't make generalizations.)

Right question would be: What's so cool about Europe? I am German and used to live in the US. So to my experience, Europe has a total different culture compared to the US. In Europe, especially France / Italy / Spain, people tend to be very classy, friendly, have excellent foods, have expertise in arranging perfect dinners, have great art, theatre, museums. All that is different to the way of living in the States. In the States, everyone is always in a rush, never seems to stop, sit down, daydream a little. In Europe, people are much more relaxed. Seems that we, since we organize a lot of things and plan ahaed of time, gain spare time which we use to relax, enjoy ourselves or the company of a good friend, sit back, have a glass of nice wine (french wine is highly recommended all over Europe, especially red wine!). The language makes women fall in love even if they don't understand a word - it is soooo romantic. Maybe you should try it out one day, make your own mind. You will see for yourself

The great food, for one thing, is not not just a legend. It is incredible.
The fact that on a small territory, it has both old and new mountains, ocean and sea, deserts ands hyper-populated cities, 2000 year old signs of history and a very modern infrastructure, very well-dressed people and ridiculous old men with bérets (a French hat), incredibly vulgar TV and highly intellectual TV programs (it is the only country in the world where literary shows play at prime time, because people actually watch them).
It is also the country of Declaration of Human Rights, and I am most proud of that, being French (living in Canada) myself.

The question should sound like that:
What's so cool about other countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, or even America anyway?
What makes them so cool? It's the differences between them.
Each country is another world.

Allons enfants de la Patrie,
Le jour de gloire est arrivé !
Contre nous de la tyrannie,
L'étendard sanglant est levé,
Entendez-vous dans les campagnes
Mugir ces féroces soldats ?
Ils viennent jusque dans vos bras
Égorger vos fils, vos compagnes
Aux armes, citoyens,
Formez vos bataillons,
Marchons, marchons
Qu'un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons
