Use Winavi Video converter, you can convert avi files to DVD, VCD, Super VCD and vice versa. The links below lead you to some of the sites from which you can download trail packs, but for a regular use, you got to purchase the license. For burning a DVD you may have ot use a separate program such as Nero.

get a program called DIKO - yahoo will find it.
or blaze media works too then i use TMPGenc dvd author. or TMPGEnc source creator and then the dvd author.
