I am on birth control and never late for my period. I am now 2 days late but now just started having some bleeding. I can't tell if this is spotting or my period. What is spotting?? I would've gotten pregnant about 10-14 days ago and can't tell what other symptoms I would be having. I have been dizzy and tired. I am on topirmate that can make some birth control inaffective.

With BC like yours, spotting or bleeding around the time your period is due are all considered signs of period. Call whomever put you on the pill to verifiy you should continue taking as directed just to be safe.

This is a good question. My doctor put me on Topamax last month for epilepsy and now my period is almost a week late. The topamax could me messing with you but if you are concerned get a pregnancy test. Good Luck and holler back at me when you get some answers. Maybe we can help each other.

Stop taking your birth control. You are probably pregnant. Spotting is very light bleeding. Dizzyness is a sign of pregnancy and so is tiredness. Stop taking your birth control and take a test. Don't take your birth control until you know for sure that you are not pregnant. Good Luck.

it does not hurt to take a test..but if you want you can wait a few more days..my 1st time was pregnant i show the same symptoms.
