Let's say your 18 and someone offered you a billion dollars inexchange for your young age, would you accept it? This question just popped into my mind after seeing "the little mermaid". What if the wicked witch asked you for your age and in return gives you a billions of dollars, would you accept it?

No way would I give up any of the time that I have on this earth. Our youth is a time for exploration and to find ourselves. A person can make money, but our lives are priceless.

It would depend on how many years...

Figure you'll spend 1/3 of your life working...you would get that back if you had a billion dollars and didn't have to work anymore. And you spend 1/3 of your life sleeping anyway.

The remaining 1/3 would be a whole lot more fun with a billion dollars...

So...if the average life span is 78...you have 60 years to play with...20 of them sleeping...20 workign and 20 for free time.

If the deal made you only 20 years older...I would take it, cuz I'd save that much time by not working...and enjoy the rest of it more.

If the deal made me 40 years older...I probably wouldn't take it, because you won't live long enough to enjoy the money enough to justify the loss of time.

Selling life...... Thats an odd question and really humorous too! That's exactly what most people do in a way! They work and exchange "money" for their time.... (youth). Granted its not a billion all at once!

The answer to your question would be NO!

Along with your youth would be all the things in life which would be learned and enjoyed and were possible... (what could have been). As well as all the negative aspects of life as well! And don't fool yourself for a second thinking that you wouldn't be missing anything without the bad stuff!!!! You would be missing a great deal! That's part of life as well and it goes hand in hand with all the wonderful things!

There are places in the world where people are so desperate and bad off they would take your life for 20.00 and not think twice about it. Would you be upset about that????? You think that's wrong???? Of course you would/do!!! So what's the difference of having several zeros after it? Look at what would be lost.

I am glad you asked this question. I think the opposit is true. A lot of people who are getting older would wish to exchange a billion of dollars for a young age.
As I am getting near 40, I start feeling the toll. Now,I understand why people riding Porsh when they get older. it make them think they are younger. and why people go for plastic surgery to try to return to what they have been before.
So if you are young, remember that you need to do everything you want now so you will not regret in the future and say if just I can return 18 for a billion of dollars. so enjoy your youth now because it is worth a billion dollar.

I'll be very candid with this answer so ALL of you understand.

I'm over sixty years old but feel better than I did when I was half my age.

I wouldn't trade places with anyone that's young in these times.

I'd rather be young in a different time...maybe fifty to a hundred years ago.

With a billion dollars, I get to meet guys like Bill Gates and get to associate with the cream on top...people few of us understand let alone see each day.

Yet, my good friends, these are the people who actually control our lives in a very surrepticious and stealth manner.

By me getting into their lives, getting to know them...I'd be in a great position to tell them what I really think of them.

I know about them, I try to find out everything I can about them.

Many are sleazy, some are sincere.

Bill Gates seems sincere.

So, show me the money instead.

No! Because I will lose a lot important life experiences. Why should I sell my age for a billion of dollars if I can learn how to make more than money?

Well, It would depend on how old I would have to be.. I'd be 40 no prob.. my mom is 44 and she's still as spry as ever. So, maybe.. maybe not. I don't know. It would have to happen I suppose.

Money is so artificial. All of lifes experiences could never have a price tag put on them. No matter how big.

No way. All the money in this world put together can't replace the value of my life. Each year of my life can't be replaced by the value of all the money deposited in the banks no matter how huge its amount.

Life is enjoyed the most not by the amount of money a person has but by the value of the life that he is living. This is specially true if a person's life is appraised in the point of view of a God who is willing to leave all of heaven for the value of one person who wants to live.

Yes because I would never want to be that age knowing what I know now. Unless I could be that age knowing what I know now.
