Bees do not think anything of wasps because neither bees nor wasps (nor any arthropods for that matter) have a centralized nervous system. That's the technical way of saying that they have no brain, and thus no place to process "thoughts." They have no consciousness.
As an aside: Thoughts are produced in the cortex of the vertebrate brain. This does not mean, however, that all vertebrates possess the neuronal machinery to generate thoughts. Less-evolved vertebrates such as reptiles, however, lack the cortex. Their brain is essentially no more than the pons and medulla. As one one can see from looking at the evolutionary ladder, more "evolved" organisms have more complex and more developed brains. Thus, humans and other primates have the ability to think, whereas insects do not.

Wasps are the aristocrats of the flying insect world. Bees are the middle classes and flies are working class.
Hope this helps, Pob.

mmh hmm but would you swipe at a wasp if it buzzed around your shoulder? no, so the wasps got the upperhand so bees wish they could be like wasps
