Make a list of the amenities and detractors of each college. Consider:
- cost after any financial aid including scholarships and grants
- choice of majors that interest you
- retention rate
- availability of on-campus living (if this is important to you)
- how you felt while touring the campus (did you like it?)
- access to library computers and printers
- notoriety of professors and of the school in general
- access to help (tutoring, etc)
- clubs and extra curriculars (newspaper, radio, tv)
- access to your advisor
- strength of your desired major

You have to look at whats important to you and when you get a good list going, you need to compare it to the college's that you are choosing from and go with the one that has the most in common with your needs or the one you are most interested in.

If that doesn't work, there is always the flip of a coin.

Consider:

-distance from home
-focus on your major; is it their thing?
-tuition fees
-success rate of grads getting work in their field of study

This last one is important. Many schools will snow you with "98% of our graduates found work" but they don't tell you that their computer science grads are slinging pizzas for a living.

Good Luck!
