There are 2 options if you want an animal like a racoon as a pet.

1. Get the proper documentation, to legally own one of these animals and get one a at a wild life recue center.

2. find an abandon racoon nest and still get the right papers to raise the babies, they need a special milk that wildlife rscue centers only have NEVER OFFER COW MILK, WILL KILL THEM.

NOTE: If you do get one it will reach sexual maturity, like a teenager going through puberty. It may become irritable and aggressive, this phase does pass, it takes a patient person to work through this phase though. Make sure you get them shots too, ie rabies, de-worming, spay/neuter, etc

A Racoon when completely tame and friendly is comaprible to a dog in friendlyness and temperment.

I wish you the best of luck in your search and hope you find what your looking for.

Raccoons are wild animals and most likely illegal. They also make horrible pets..even if raised from a baby.

The only legal way to have a raccoon is to have a rehabbers license. Coons are ILLEGAL to own.

Better check with the Conservation Commission. It is probably illegal to have one for a pet.
