It is safe as long as you make sure not to get heat stroke. Take it easy and when your tired go sit in the shade with a cool drink.

The general rule of thumb regarding exertion is this: don't do anything that is MORE rigorous than what you were doing before you were pregnant. In other words... if you only ever went for a 4 block walk each day after dinner (before you were pregnant), you shouldn't suddenly start training for a marathon and trying to run 10 miles a day while you're pregnant. You're more likely to hurt yourself.
Make sure you are aware of beach safety and be sure you know what to do should you, God forbid, get caught in a riptide... because riptides can be powerful enough to carry you out into deeper water, even if you aren't fully submerged. If you aren't a good swimmer or if you don't feel good about your strength/ability to swim back to shore in the event of something like that happening, I'd go no further than knee deep into the water (since us pregnant ladies are so top-heavy). You also want to be sure of water conditions (regarding bacteria and whatnot... I know that toward the END of my pregnancy, swimming in lakes and whatnot wasn't forbidden... but it wasn't recommend either.
As far as sun exposure, make sure you use good sunscreen, and reapply often. Also, make sure you have plenty of water (not sugary drinks) so that you can stay well-hydrated. You don't want to subject yourself to heat stroke or sun stroke.
If you have any health issues, be sure to run everything by your OBGYN as well... he/she might have some great/important additional information for you that wouldn't occur to an 'average joe' like me.
Have fun on your trip. :)

Yes. In fact the sand is great to walk on because it demands use by so many more muscles to keep your balance. Since walking and swimming are the best forms of excercise for pregnant women, your beach vacation is ideal.

It's safe to walk on the beach and in the water. But if the water is really cold, don't swim in it.. the baby will feel the cold. Enjoy the beach.. stay relaxed.

Absolutely YES!
You ought to walk the beach everyday if you can!
Exercise is good for you and will benefit you as you labor and give birth. The sand is so good for your feet, the air is fresh (I hope) and the sounds of waves and seagulls is relaxing. Sounds pretty perfest to me!
The water is fine too! Unless the beach is polluted but then I doubt you would even ask.

It depends on the water. Is the water clean? Is the beach clean? Check the bacteria count of the water. If there is high e coli reported in the neighborhood, then you might want to think twice. E coli infections can have dire consequences during pregnancy. But if the water is clean, then you should have no problem. In fact, the water may provide some welcome relief for your aching back.

Yes, and actually is a wonderful thing to do while pregnant. Swimming is one of the best activities to do.
Here is an article from babycenter.com
Is it safe to swim during pregnancy?
Yes, swimming is one of the best forms of exercise during pregnancy. If you swam consistently before you got pregnant, you should be able to continue without too much modification. If you didn't exercise at all you should still be able to start swimming, but check with your doctor or midwife before you take the plunge. You'll need to start slowly, stretch well before and after, warm up and cool down gradually, and not overexert yourself.
What are the benefits of swimming?
Swimming is great exercise because it uses large muscle groups (arms and legs). Though low-impact, it provides good cardiovascular benefits, and allows you to feel weightless despite the extra pounds of pregnancy. It's also a very safe form of exercise because the risk of injury is low.
Any type of aerobic exercise helps increase your body's ability to process and use oxygen, which is important for you and your baby. It also improves circulation, increases muscle tone and strength, and builds endurance. You'll burn calories, feel less fatigued, sleep better, and help condition your body to cope with the physical and emotional challenges of pregnancy.
Tips for the first trimester
If you can summon the energy, go for a swim for at least 20 minutes every other day for maximum benefit. Swimming first thing in the morning may counteract morning sickness and energize you for the rest of the day.
Tips for the second trimester
Your pregnancy won't require you to cut down on swimming as you grow because it's easy on expectant moms. You probably won't need to modify your regimen, but a maternity swimsuit may be more comfortable as your belly expands. It can be tough to find one, especially off-season. Start with a maternity shop or by searching online.
Tips for the third trimester
The water supports your joints and ligaments as you exercise, preventing injury, and it protects you from overheating. The breast stroke is particularly beneficial in the third trimester, because it lengthens the chest muscles and shortens the back muscles, two areas that typically become misaligned as your body changes during pregnancy, says Julie Tupler, registered nurse, certified personal trainer, and founder of Maternal Fitness, a fitness program for new and expectant moms in New York City. Use a snorkel to relieve pressure on your neck that's created when you bob up and down for air.

yes. you walk in other places don't you? Walking somewhere else wouldn't matter. Don't be so nervous. As long as you are not going to get too tired or lift too heavy then you can do anything you want. (minus any harmful toxins that are bad for baby) But its obvious that you are a careful considerate mother. Congratulations and Good Luck.
