Response to the mantra "that blacks can't be racist" because of ownership issues and the continued expressed need for past reparations is wearing on nerves. Amazingly we are a couple of generations away from slavery and most people have evolved past racism.

There are some white supremists and black supremists still stirring the pot. There is no one to provide me with reparations for my miserable past. We should be educated about the past, remember it, respect that it was a different time and we are not like that now and don't want to be like that now - and move on.

Continued whinning about an injustices in our history is going to create a backlash from people who want to move on and create a better future and take care of the injustices now. Even fat people are predjudice against other fat people. We are not going to eliminate predjudice but there are many examples of people who are able to move beyond, transcend it to accomplish what they want.

Oprah Winfrey is America's first black female billionaire. Do you know who was America's first black female millionaire? It was over a 100 years ago!

As for tanning. . . Whites still want tans and it's not "color of skin envy" or equated with "distate" of people with color. White legs with veins showing through with tan arms looks funny.

Both should be called racist. The double standard exists because we are still working on racial tolerance. We should be evolved enough to be done with that, but I think it is a matter of the young replacing the old. I am certain this will eventually change, maybe not as soon as my lifetime though.

there is only one race and its called the human race. it's the rich and the politicians that keep the whites and the blacks fighting. hey if we stuck together we could really change the world and the system that we live in, they don't want that. it would take away their power and more importantly to them their money. what we need to do is stop fighting each other and start fighting a system that is not out for the people but is just out for monetary gain

According to one Black author and talk show host, Blacks can not be racist since we don't own the majority of land, businesses,
schools,hospitals,etc... These are places used in the past and
some in the present to discriminate based on skin color.
That said, I've talked to fellow Blacks and what I have heard come out of some mouths sounds racist to me.
