Feed them dark leafy greens such as cabbage and the darker lettuce varieties. Also, collard greens are good. Best not to feed them celery, as the stringy stuff in it can get tangled in their intestines. Carrots and apples are also good.

My Guinea Pig loves spring greens, carrots and apples best. Be careful with apples though as some Guines Pigs get sore mouth from eating them so watch out for that.

It is also important Guines Pigs get Vitamin C as they don't make their own. You can buy drops to add to the water, get food with it in or make sure you feed it Vitamin enriched vegtable.

my guinea pig absolutely LOVED grass, I used to put him in a cloche on the lawn and he would munch away happily all day. He also loved potato peelings, carrots, cabbage etc. Try him with a bit of everything - if he likes it, he'll eat it - if not, he won't. What he doesn't eat though take out of the cage before it rots.

My guinea pig loves grass for the yard in summer and also I give him Romaine lettuce. This is preferable over iceburg lettuce. They do eat both though. I also give him Alfalpha and he loves guinea pig snacks form the pet store.
