As an elementary teacher for 32 years my advice is to PLEASE don't try to be too creative. I have had students with some very "creative" names and "creative" spellings and I can tell you it is a source of embarrassment for them much of the time. You are sentencing them to going through life having to spell and pronounce their names for everyone - not to mention the teasing that goes on. Just keep in mind that whatever you choose - your child will become an adult. Try your choice of name with various titles such as Dr. So and So. If it is hard to imagine going to a doctor named something like "Precious Gift" - don't saddle your child with such a moniker.

Emily is the most common, but you would want something that would make people stop and say "that's a really nice name"
Girl: Cassandra.
Boy: Andrew. (another common name.)
Girl: Lydia.
Boy: Kyle.
Girl: Marrissa.
Boy: Jason- or- Jase
Girl: Mariah
Boy: Michael -or -Mike
Girl: Micaela
That's a list of bitchin names I like. Good luck with the baby!

I go for the tradtional names:
Boys: Michael
David
William
Robert
John
James
Girls: Mary
Elizabeth
Margaret
Anne
Jane
Sarah
Lisa
Linda
There are nick-names for all of these. And, as, the child gets older, they can go to their full name or whatever ....
Like for men- James (Jimmy, Jim, Jaimie)
Like for women- Elizabeth (Beth, Bess,Lizzie,Libby)
