The concept is great, the reality is overplayed. I think marriage is how you feel, not the paper. I learned long ago that the paper doesn't mean anything but legal stuff............the true marriage is in heart and in the ability to be faithful and loving to the mate you choose.

Marriage is one of the most beautiful things on earth. It is a public pronouncement of your love for each other and a life-long comittment. Some people choose not to marry. To me I could never see the point of not getting married. It is true that marriage in itself does not guarantee the success of the relationship, but it is such a romantic but serious gesture. I loved every minute of our marriage day.

Marriage isn't for everybody. Depends on who you marry and how compatiable you are. Love shouldn't be the only reason people marry. Make sure you can live with the other persons faults before you commit.

in all honest i think marriage ruins the relationship if you think about it to much... some people make it work, but nowadays its more of a leash for people who are so used to being free. it can change a person, its like re-loosing your virginity; it changes you... and usually not for the good. x

I think it isn't entered into as seriously as it used to be. It used to be livelong- now divorce is more common. I'm all for marriage if you and your partner are serious about the commitment to each other.

Overrated, makes my knees knock, teeth chatter, eyes twitch makes me very nervous. People don't stay married long any more. They have wondering eyes, they always think they can find someone or something better.
