My mother bought me this dress made from some sort of itchy, stiff material that was a little too small for me. She insisted that it was so cute that she had to buy it, so every time I had to put it on it was a huge effort on both of our parts. Not only was it uncomfortable to wear, it was hideous (she begs to differ). It was solid red on top, and the skirt portion was red and teal plaid with a black built-in belt. Urgh!

A white and pink dress with little hearts and ribbons! I was only 8 years old, a Tom Boy, refused to wear it and ended up being made to wear it anyway (Cousin's christening) I felt so uncomfortable! It was sheer torture. I cried my eyes out!!!

My obsessive-compulsive (& crazy) mother demanded to choose my clothes on a daily basis until I was about 11! ELEVEN!! Thats way worse than any particular outfit!

My mom always used to make me wear corduroy dungarees...man did that feel horrible. I remember when she gave me a black dress, I wore it on my head to make it look as though I had long hair. I was so embarrassed!!!! But it's making me kill myself with laughter now! And she gave me some church shoes, but it looked like I was ready for adult work going to the office. They were black and I wore them with purple shorts, I just hid my shoes the whole time!

Those horrible plaid pants that you'd always see taken at a picture studio with the wooded background, ugh.

This hideous polyester shirt that was bright yellow....had a violin on the front chest......and a HUGE violin embossed on the back. I was polyester for heavens sake. I didn't play the violin......had no interest in it whatsoever. So why the heck did she buy it for me??? Ugh......I hated that thing!
