Mike Wallace (60 minutes), Wolf Blitzer(CNN), Tim Russert (NBC) or Larry King (CNN) ? Who else is the best?

This may sound silly, but Jon Stewart of The Daily Show may be the best current affairs interviewer I've ever seen. He's smart, funny and can pack a wallop into the five or so minutes his show sets aside for guests. He doesn't take himself too seriously, either.

Jon Stewart is the best host (although Colbert is catching up).

As far as interviewer, Russert is still the best in my opinion. He doesn't usually take evasion for an answer, and he has the respect, etc. to get the big names. Unfortunately Stewart is willing to often take the fluff answers, in interest of comedy (which is his job), and doesn't have the pull to get the big names from the Republican party.
