When you're outside on a cold day, the air in your nose is a lot warmer than the air around you. Water drops in your nose condense and then they mix with your mucus and run out your nose.

because its cold outside and warm up your nose, its a bit like having condensation up your nose, and that's why it runs when its cold!

because increased mucus prodn wen the immune system of the body fights wid the virus....so it has to come out(ded virus and cells) so our noses run

the mucus is trying to insulate your nose so it would not get frozen.
it is also getting rid of the germs so that you would not get a cold
