Just my opinion...but I would pick a song that I loved. Regardless of whether it was Charlene's "I've Never Been to Me" or Krokus' "Screaming In The Night"....choose a song that you can put feeling into.
I personally find that "feeling" a song adds more to it than just mechanically singing it.

Get real.
There is no way any of us can tell you what to sing babe.
It is your voice, your audition and if you don't know that many songs... well learn some more.
For an audition you should sing what comes natural to you. Don't overstress but also not to simple. Twinkle twinkle little star can be a success but you better make it an amazing performance.

I was a professional singer for many years. The best advice I can give you is to learn a lot more songs, as you will need a large repetoire to aid you. Choose songs that are in your power range, listen to them until you've learned the lyrics. Then choose the one YOU think you sound best at, and feel most comfortable with.

Well since you have no imagination of your own and since you are being so repetitive with the question I'm going to tell you to sing the stupidest song in the world ever to sung on American Idol....Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

I always liked the song "Like the Weather" by 10,000 Maniacs. and the lead singer, Natalie Mearchent, had a soft voice - why not try that one?

find something that's on a higher scale like "think" by Aretha Franklin although you really need lungs for that one, or since you have a soft voice try a ballad like, "beautiful disaster", listen to Kelly clarksons version of it. good luck.
