It depends on the blood test they do...I forget the names exactly but there is 2 ways to test blood for pregnancy one is same concept as a urine test and only picks up the pregnancy if the hcg is above a certain level. The other tests if there is ANY at all which is usually better for early pregnancy testing due to the nature of all woman develope differently, this is why some woman will have to wait 3 mos before it will even show positive on a home urine)ne test while others show 2 weeks after conception ( right around their time is due ) So it depends on the test but also even blood will not pick up the pregnancy until it implants which takes5-12 days from conception. So if you are usually not late or miss, I would go back to t dr. and start asking some questions regarding this. Good luck hope this helped.!!!

If your cycle is irregular, when you had the blood test you may have just been "newly pregnant" which means that there wasn't that much pregnancy hormone in your blood.
I would wait a week, and get another blood test, or do a urine test yourself.
Take care, good luck.

During both of my pregnancies, I had the brownish discharge. I was pregnant. Remember - you may or may not have the same symptoms as others do. I'd try another test.

There is a chance that you just ovulated later in your cycle than usual..and that is making everything else delayed too. THere is also the chance that you are pregnant and again...ovulated later in your cycle than you thought..meaning you have too low HCG levels for detection.
In either case..if you have not gotten your period by this time next week..go back and ask for another test.
