Should I still go to the doctor. My symptoms don't have pain but frequent urges. I'm also on my period so I can't tell if its bloating from craps or something else. Why do I keep getting these?

For one day, try drinking pure and unsweetened Cranberry juice. You can add in a little of a sweeter juice but you need to drink a lot of it and lots of water. If it worsens, call the doctor. You keep getting these infections? You need to talk to a doctor and I mean talk. My doctor explained it all to me but it is not something I would post here. Just call and ask questions until you get answers. If you do end up on antibiotics please eat yogurt everyday and take acidophilus too to replace the good flora that the antibiotics kill off and before you start having other problems. I know that women who eat yogurt daily or almost daily do not get these infections. Have you taken a lot of antibiotics in your life? You may need to replace the good flora. Ask at a good health food store what you should take but do call your doctor for that chat!

You probably do have a UTI. Don't let it go. See you doctor for some antibiotics. I know how you feel. But if you let it go, it could go up into your kidney which is much harder to treat. Also, I need to tell you that untreated UTI's can eventually lead to the formation of kidney stones from the bacteria. I really know about this because I've had stones four times. And I have to blame myself because I let the infections go too long before going to the doctor. Also, skip the cranberry juice. I finally got a doctor who explained that real lemon juice and water with a little sweetener is the best way to prevent stones. He said cranberry juice is a myth. There are ingredients in lemon juice which prevent stone formation. I had stones back in September last year and due to the "lemonade", I haven't even had an infection since then. Good luck.

I have a simular problem only I don't think I have a UTI. My doctor has me on anti-biotics and cranberry juice and plenty of water. The only symptom I have is pressure in the abdomen and pain when I have sex. Otherwise I don't go pee any more than normal and the pressure only hurt for one day, it's uncomfortable but other than that it's okay. I don't know why he is treating me for bladder infection. I have been on meds for three days now and no better. I thought I was preg at first and so did he but my test came up neg. I guess I'll see in a few weeks or so!
If you think it may be, you should go in a soon as possible. It's best to take care of it as soon as you can.

Thank God, I have never had one. However, I have friends who have. One well-known symptom is difficulty or pain when urinating. It is mostly describe as pain, burning, urgency and frequency of urination along with pressure in the abdomen area.

If you have think you have UTI, you should see your physician or you can purchase Woman's Wellbeing Urinary Pain Relief Tablets OTC.

Feel better...

I am the same way with bladder infections...no pain until they are REALLY bad, but just frequent urination. See your doctor and get it checked out. If it is then get on antibiotics before it gets really bad.

I would check with the doc and see what's going on. It doesn't sound like an infection but it wouldn't hurt for a check up.
