She comes form money and excentricity.
So what if the baby wants to kill her.
So what if the dog wants to hump her.
So what if Quagmier runs around naked. (gigidy, gigidy).
Her parents were slave owners, who owned her husbands family. They tried to ship him over seas. They tried to have Brian put to sleep. They had naked photos of Abe Lincoln.
She comes from a sick family.
This seems normal to her.

Excellent question. Of course this is a cartoon, but we can be quite philosophical about it. Do the characters on the show really hear what Stewie is saying? Or do just we the viewers get the translation of toddler babble? Does Lois purposely ignore Quagmire and Brians advances because she loves Peter so much? Or are the come ons put forth by the two too subtle in her mind? Such a dilemma.

Not noticing how Stewie is trying to kill her and rule the world is part of the comedy. It was really toned down by the third season.
She does know about Brian being obsessed with her because she comments on it in the episode where Peter supposedly dies and she marries Brian.
Quagmire's obsession with every woman probably makes Lois think that it's just part of who he is. Giggity!

I think when stewie talks and does all that stuff the adults can't understand him. I guess to them he's just talking baby talk. I guess dogs and babies are supposed to be able to talk to each other in the world of family guy since brian talks to him. As far as not noticing ppl being obsessed about her, I have no idea. It's just a show.

She also doesn't notice that Stuey (her 2 year old son) is trying to kill her. It's all because she isn't paying attention to it. She just doesn't notice, it's all a matter of perspective, we see it from a third person view rather from her eyes so we don't really know what it's like.

It's part of the "comic mystique" or "comedic ignorance, it makes it more funny. This technique has been being used since the begining of time. Threes Company would have never exsisted without it, for that matter, maybe comedy couldn't exsist without it

Because we never seem to notice what is right in front of us, or she doesn't want to notice. She probably "knows" but doesn't want to acknowledge it, lest it become "real" and she would have to deal with it. Same with Peter. Otherwise, with everything that he puts her through she'd be in a mental institution.

i think the better question is how does she not notice stewie's little inventions. brian is he only one who talks 2 him, idk why, and i think Meg was talking to him once. The obsession, i dont think Brian is obsessed wth her, and Quamire seems to be too busy to be obsessed with her

Because it is a cartoon, and not meant to reflect reality, but rather create characters and situations which people will find amusing.
