I think Superman will do really well as it has been so long since we have seen him on our screens and I think people will be really interested in how the Superman story has been handled after so long. Pirates does indeed have the undeniable draw of the fantastic Mr Depp, and people are already fans, but has also had some 'not as good as the first one' type reviews that may put off some people.
I will be endeavouring to go and see both!

Geez. A sequel versus a fossil. I'll go with the fossil, Superman, because seriously, when was the last time a DC comic movie DIDN'T hit #1? But really, aren't all the movies rehashes right now? With the Feds (particularly the FCC) on the warpath about 'decency,' it's not wonder they're playing it safe! Hollywood is going to churn out this crap until it feels the political climate is better suited to more provocative material. The next 'Pulp Fiction' may be quite a few years away still! :(

They are both PG-13 but I think Pirates will do better. Parents may take younger kids to see Pirates than Superman.

Johnny Depp's role as " Captain Jack Sparrow " seems to be Custom-Made for him...He's so Convincing...A truly Great Actor!

Supermans a bit of a unsure bet cos noone really knows the dude playing superman! Poc prob has a bigger fanbase cos of the original, but then again people will see superman out of curiosity! Am gonna wait for the reviews for suprerman-comic book adaptations have a lot to live up to after xmen and spiderman!

Well it is going to be Pirates 2, and I am all set to go, and see it tonight with my friend, and then I am going to watch it again tomorrow with my fiancee, I mean how many times have we all seen Superman? it started out as a series, then it went on to the big screen with the late Christopher Reeve, don't get me wrong it still loks like a good film, but I don't think it will be near as good as the originals, still I might be wrong though!
