I am an American citizen and resident of American Native ancestry.

Our country has vast natural resources. It's populace is by and large productive, inventive and creative. Hence, over the 230 years we have been a country, we have arrived at a point in history where the entire world bases it's economy on ours.

It is unfortunate that some people in some countries resent that fact, but nonetheless it is still a fact.

Americans do NOT want to rule the world. The accusations that we are Imperialistic are false and unfounded. If Americans were Imperialistic, we could have easily annexed Germany and Japan after WW-II...We didn't!! Americans want the entire world to prosper and grow. Americans as a rule feel that basic human rights are necessary to the fullfillment of individual happiness, and we desire those rights to be guaranteed every citizen on earth.

Because of resentment from those less fortunate, we are now embroiled in an unpopular military action. And it is having SERIOUS consequences here. Our voting public is divided sharply and almost EQUALLY pro and con on the matter. The voting record of the last 20 year shows that.

I personally wish it were over. If these militant Muslims would simply realize the TRUTH : " Americans DON'T want to change your religion!!...We don't want to run your government or interfere in your lives...We have our OWN lives to live...We want to help you improve your lives...Then we'll politely and GLADLY get out of the way and let you determine your OWN future!!"...Then the unpleasant mess would be OVER and we could bring our military home.

Just don't attack us EVER again!!!

I have the pleasure of living in Canada.

As a direct result, I get to see a LOT of Americans. I will not lie to you, for a lot of reason Americans can be a loud and obnoxious lot. Treating some Canadians like we are little brothers that need to be put in line on more than one occasion.

But the true fact of the matter is that I am glad that I live on a continent with the longest undefended border in the world.

Americans may be big brothers that can be a pain in our collective @$$es, but I am glad the I have that big brother around the playground.
