Except for their color, of course, can you guys please tell me about their difference? And which is more expensive? Which one is rarer or more prized by jewellers?

white gold is actually an alloy of gold, silver and palladium
whereas yellow gold is real gold
white gold is prized by jewellers because its cheaper for them to buy but they can charge the customer more so they make more profit

Yellow gold has a yellow cast to it, white gold will almost look silver. White gold is sometimes preferred but it depends on the carats 18 is a good quality but 24 is more prized especially if they say 99% pure 24 carat. It's the purity, which means it has no other fillers in the piece like nickel or silver.

I have 2 rings - one from yellow gold with diamonds n emeralds n another one made from white gold with diamonds... I would say white gold looks best especially with diamonds... White gold is also more expensive... It's more beautiful than yellow gold... I dont know if white gold is yellow gold which has been refined.... not too sure about this

white gold is alloyed with silver. yellow gold is the color of pure gold. there are also red gold and green gold alloyed with copper and tin.

lately, white gold has been getting very popular, mostly because it's almost a cheaper version of platinum...
yellow gold, in my point of view, is alot more classier...
