I love miniatures. I haven't done the Dresden Plate but I did do the log cabin. I used 3/4" strips so each strip was acutally 1/4" once sewn. My finished quilt had 36 blocks plus border. I was so delighted with my miniture quilt. I found out after that it would have been easier if I had paper pieced the tiny quilt.

Now for the Dresden Plate. For current trends in miniature quilts you might consider trying a magazine called "Miniature Quilts". Subscription address: Miniature Quilts, PO Box 10630, Riverton, NJ 08076-0630.

No Big Deal; Mastering the Art of Miniature Quiltmaking by Deborah L. White has a pattern for a dresden plate quilt. This book was publishe dby That Patchwork Place in 1997. To make your search easier the ISBN # is: 1-56477-183-0.

Both of the above noted sources also include tips on how to make your work on a miniature easier and less stressful.

Good luck with your search. Have fun with your miniature.
