I know of four internet browsers. 1) Internet Explorer (Micro$oft) 2) Netscape 3) Firefox 4) Opera. Are there any more?

if by free source you mean open source, you should remove everything except Firefox from the list. If, however, you are just talking about browsers in general, graphically there are also Kommander, Safari, Mozilla (independant of Firefox or Netscape), and I'm sure a couple others I'm forgetting. Text based browsers also still exists, the most popular out there still is Lynx.

You could try safari if you wanted but i do not reccomedn it due to very small ammount of security updates ( none)
And only time can tell if IE7 is worth something or not.
