Pele, of course. He never had to rely on the "hand of God" to make a goal. Instead, he used his skills. In addition, Pele was and is a classy guy, something that Maradona doesn't even know the meaning of.

Definetely maradona, its just that pele achieved more than maradona did and thats why people say he is the best soccer player, pele helped brazil win three world cups while maradona helped argentina win two. If it wasn't for drugs, i think maradona would have achieved a lot more. I think if you put pele and maradona head to head, maradona would sure win, no doubt.

I believe that that Maradona is The World`s Best Soccer player.
And by the way, Maradona is Argentinian. If you watch Soccer today and If you know the history of soccer, you will see that there are no soccer player in the world today like Diego Maradona.
Look how the soccer ball lands when he kicks it is impossible to do that for anuother soccer palyer; and how fast and gracious he moves...Maradone is undoubtedly The Best Soccer Player in The World. I wish there were more soccer players like him. Maradona was also selected internationally as the world`s best soccer player. Pele is second best to Maradona.

Pele is the greatest footballer ever. He lead Brazilto three consecutive world cup titles. He invented the scissor kick and was a great dribbler. He had a great sportsman spirit and always played a fair game. His records speak for themselves. Marradona on the other hand though was a genius of football but did not play a fai game and has been in the news mostly for the wrong reasons. He started doing drugs which shrtened his career. Both are fantastic players and can not be compared as they played at different times. But both have and will inspire the future generatin to take up soccer and play like them.

That question is moot. It's like comparing Nike athletic shoes with Adidas... they're both shoes but different brands. Each have they're own style of football but played great nonetheless. Both have inspired aspiring young talents, which in itself is a huge contribution to the sports.
