That wasnt such a smart assed comment as as you would like to think. Joseph Rowntree School is situated in York which by no coincidence is also the location for the Rowntree's factory. It's all in the name - make the connection?

Serious answer to the original question. With the state of York's Local authorities, anything is possible (usually later ruled costly and impractical) so who knows. A number of other schools are earmarked for closure within the next few years so there is definately demand for places, although the likelihood is that the acomb schools will merge into a "super school". Given the precariousness of york council's finances, Jo Ro school will definately have to secure some kind of backing as I doubt the local authority can and will afford to build a new school campus from scratch.
