7 stepping stones, 3 green frogs, 3 brown frogs.
The 3 green frogs are on the left, and can only move right. The 3 brown frogs are on the right, and can only move left. The empty stone is in the middle. Frogs can only jump over 1 other frog, onto an empty stone. How do you move the green frogs right, and the brown frogs left? This was recently on Yahoo Office Attachments.

Ok...

If the frogs are numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6, this is what you do. 123 on the left facing right, 456 on the right facing left.

Move each frog the way its facing in this order...

3, 4, 5, 3, 2, 1, 4, 5, 6, 3, 2, 1, 5, 6, 1

Move the green frog first. Then jump this with the brown frog.
Move the next brown frog to the left and leap the green frog into the gap.
Leap the green frog (second from left) over the leftmost brown frog, and then move the leftmost green frog to the right.
Leap the leftmost brown frog onto the leftmost stone and then leap the next two brown frogs into the vacated places.
The rightmost green frog can then move onto the rightmost stone.
The next two green frogs can leap onto the vacated stones.
Move the second brown frog into its final position. Leap the next one over into its position, and, finally, the last green frog can amble to its place. You're finished!
And it took me slightly more than three minutes. Doh!

Seems a simple question stated in a difficult way. Move all frogs of one color ONE AT A TIME to the other side. Rinse. Repeat

I thought it was going to be really complicated following your description, but did it in 20 seconds. Just move the first frog...what's the difficulty??
