No. Venezuela would be relegated to what it should be, a third world country, if it didn't have oil and the foreign investment that came with it. (I know it is all state owned now)
No government south of Texas is respected in the rest of the world...they are too unstable. We will see how the quasi-socialist regime in place manages when all the wells run dry...I have a feeling the CIA will install a new government before that happens though.
