Here are the problems with Cena's character:

1. The rapper wannabe character was played out over a year ago. The only reason he's still doing it is to sell merchandise.

2. He has no real wrestling abilty...just 3-4 moves that he does every match, every time, in the same order.

3. His fan base is mainly just girls who think he's hot, and kids who buy his stuff at the concession stand. And the WWE has noticed. How could they not? He gets booed so much that they have to play a "cheer" recording over it at televised events.

Look for a Cena makeover soon...less wannabe, more toughness, and I think he will eventually turn heel (against the fans) to generate more heat for future feuds.

Let me ask a better question. What has Cena done to deserve to be loved, let alone champ? He has lost his personality since winning the title, has never ended a match in an original way and wasnt built up well to begin with. The WWE needed a new star and tried to force the fans to love Cena by making him champ. This worked on some numbskulls who have been brainwashed by television and on some girls who fancy him, which i cannot pass judgement on as i am neither female nor homosexual, unlike cena.

I am one of the biggest fans of john cena in Egypt but there is a little more better than me. the reason they hated HIM now they might start loving him. but cuz he kept the belt so long and when he defends it he gets hit more than hitting his opponent and at the end he fires up does the moves of doom ( 2 clothlines, shoulderblock, spinning powerbomb, 5 knuckle shuffle, the f-u , stf-u) like bret hart and he wins, and sometimes he pops up with the fu. if u saw him at the past you'd see he had muscles better than batista and he had a great wrestling talent now he is 5 days on the road a week or less. and he doesnt train. But keep on watching he is improving. the other reason he is face people wanna see the thug, the rapper, the old smackdown Heel John Cena. They started to love him believe me they dont hate him so much. dont worry about it if john cena doesnt care why do you.

I think fans hate Cena for 3 reasons. The first one is most people realized that he isn't actually a wrestler. He's a brawler. The second reason is his stuff is getting old. The third is what I call Rock Syndrome - too much fame, too fast. Both he and The Rock were brought in and soon after they were the most popular wrestlers at the time. They achieved too much fame in too short of a time.
