Well that can be a tuff one. Alot depends on how open and excepting your parents are. Also what the laws are where you live with regards to sexual relations between minors and adults. But if your parents are open minded and they love you (which I'm sure they do) then the best way is to tell them you need to talk to them privately and then calmly explain your feelings. Then if all goes well, have them meet her. Don't give up hope, I live with my girlfriend and we are very happy. Good luck

Sounds like your parents are good candidates for accepting it but may be upset at first... grand mum and all that.
You are normal... And its good you are in love.
Maybe do it slow... see what dad thinks of girls kissing on TV and how they feel about gays and lesbians to get a lay of the land... (they may cotton on)
The maybe start later and say there is a reason you have been asking...

Only you can know how your family will react. Have they had any idea? When I told my parents they said they always kinda knew!!
Do you still live at home? You are still very young, if you think they might react badly, and kick you out, maybe it would be best not to tell them for a while.

don't, one of you may get battered. And if you don't it will give you time to realize that you are not gay after all. Who initiated it? If it wasn't you, you may have been grromed into thinking you are a lesbian by this 19 year old. She has more years on you so she would know what she was doing unlike you. Wait a bit and see if your feelings and inner thoughts start to change.
Ask yourself, did you meet her or did she notice you???

If I was a parent, and found out my daughter was gay at 16, I'd be quite relieved, no more having to worry about her getting pregnant, and much less chance of finding out she has an STI or in a physically abusive relationship! I't sounds like your parent's are cool, and capable of putting things in perspective. Just tell them, you'll be surprised, and relieved about not having to hide it anymore.

bold move. You should do it though. I doubt they would care about the age. But they will love you even if they dont approve of your lifestyle. I've been out for a year now and my mother is still convinced its a 'stage'.
