Adventures are anything that challenges. Typically, we think of them as something exciting such as going on an expedition, solving a mystery, etc. However, modern day adventures could include learning something new, such as learning to play a musical instrument or how to cook a gourmet dish.
I think that most parents would tell you that raising children is also a real adventure! lol

Hitch-hiking around the U.S. for 9 months on a dollar-a-day budget, and after having the most memorable time of your life...being able to answer the question,"What are Americans like?", with a question, "What type of American?!". That's an Adventure !

adventure is a journey without a map, no estimated time of arrival and who knows if you ever get back - there that's the best way to describe adventure without verbal or keyboard diarrhea
