i am from india and i dont like listening to english music exept a few and my freinds chat about it and feel bored as i dont even know anything about it.am i not cool if i dont listen to english music? i meam almost all of them listen to english music.plz help me

I don't think your not cool if u don't listen to English music, as long as u have other things in common with your friends it shouldn't come down to what type of music u listen to.

you can listen to the music you like and try a few different styles along the way and pretty soon you`ll begin to enjoy all sorts of music. and if it really means a lot to the friendships then open yourself up to their interests. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

Your from a diffrent county. It's fine if you don't like English music. Just check some more out because there are thousands of different types, and im sure you'll like one.

That doesn't make you "uncool" it just makes you different. Try to listen to what they like and if you still don't like it I suggest letting them listen to what you like and see if they'll like it too. Even if that doesn't work out so what??? Obviously they like something about you besides your musical taste right? So focus on what you do have in common.

It's not a stupid question. People listen to music because it makes them feel good. Different people prefer different types of music, just like they prefer different foods. It's a preference, nothing more.
For me it's dancing. I can't dance to most types of music - it just doesn't move me. Except when I hear bagpipe music...then I can't not dance. It just makes me feel good and want to express that.

music has no boundaries. each of us should listen according to our likes and taste. Sometimes, you may even not understand what you listen to, but it still might bring cheerfulness and happiness...that is the power of music...it has no boundaries like other aspects of culture...

Try changing the subject. You are not uncool. You just have your own style. I'm American and I was the not cool kid in school because I don't like rap.
