I'm not trying to be rude, but at $550/wk, you can't afford 159K house. I hope you get work and/or your boyfriend starts making more so you can afford it, but right now you can't. So if even the bank loans you the money, you can not swing it right now.

I know it's not the advice you want, but it is the truth. Plus you say boyfriend, wait till you get married to buy a house together. That's not a moral judgment, but a practical judgment. If one of you leaves, someone is going to be left with a house that you can't afford. I hope that doesn't happen, but it is more likely due to the house.

My advice, just be patient, build on your careers and savings, get married and then get a nice starter home.

I wouldn't think so because you also have to take into consideration your past credit history, bank acct info and other necessary bills that must be paid. Good luck

If you have no other debts (car, credit cards, medical, etc.), possibly.
