What kind of kettle do you have.
An electric one which plugs into the wall? Put water in kettle (typically by the spout) and plug it in. It may wistle or turn off automatically when finished. But you'll be able to tell when it is boiling because the water will make a "bubbling noise"
A stove (gas or electric) top kettle (made of metal with a flat bottom). Fill with water. Turn stove on to a low-mid temperature. Example: If stove settings are numbered 1-10 ... try a 4 or 5. Again wait til boiling. (don't forget to turn off stove when complete)

is it gas or electric? but first, you should know that you cannot boil a kettle! you can however , boil water in a kettle! if it is electric , you open the lid,put in the desired amount of water, close the lid, plug it in(the kettle) switch it on , and hey presto! there you have it. If it is gas , follow the first three steps, then put the kettle on a gas ring, turn on the gas and light the gas with a match, you could also use a lighter but sometimes your fingers can get burnt! good luck!

Are you going to put fish in it?????
Boling a kettle:
Fill with water
Plug in
Turn on
Wait until it has boiled
I am looking forward to your next question which should be about what you do with the water when it has boiled or 'how do I make a cup of tea?'
Have fun with your kettle - good luck and don't scald yourself!!
