Likwise why promote marriage given the divorce and domestic violence rate...

Parents are useless...
better sex ed and contraception = less abortions but thats not the aim is it... they just want more babies whatever the cost

Because they are often extremists. They don't believe in abortion nor sex before marriage. Sex without the purpose of procreation.
If these people would be more open to better sexual education and acess to better birth control then there would be less accidental preganancy which they disagree with.
But because they refuse to accept that sex is going to happen outside of marriage even if they don't agree with it and they remain closed to new ideas, this cycle will be constantly continuing.

We cant force anyone to use contraceptives..its all part of living in a free country. It is NOT society's job to edcucate kids....its the parents' job. Why cant parents stop being so freaking lazy and self centered, and start paying closer attention to what their kids are doing??
The answer to an unwanted baby is not to kill it, its to plan ahead and not concieve it at all!! And if it does happen, even when all precautions are met, choose adoption....there are way too many ppl out there that are unable to have kids naturally.
And on a side note....I am NOT an extremist. I know ppl are going to have sex before marriage, hell, I did! But, accidents happen.....dont destroy a life b/c YOU made a mistake, its not the baby's fault. It's a baby..not a collection of cells, or a fetus...a BABY!

Yes, I agree that parents should educate their children but sometimes parents do not have all of the answers. Take the parents who had children when they were teenagers for example...how are they supposed to teach their children when THEY don't know anything?
Health Education is MORE than just SEX education, it includes DRUG education and NUTRITIONAL education...all of these things help a child or young adult LEARN how to cope with pressures and stresses faced later in life.
The idea of no Health Education in schools is ludacris!

I don't know where you live but where I did there was plenty of material out there on this subject. Now I'm not so sure as I have moved house.
On the other hand abortionists don't put out any either because what they do is inhumane and cruel. Go look at the pretty pictures of their end *product*.

you know i feel people on the abortion situation but hey that is ones persons decision of choice.
no one can say crap about it. if a persons life is a stake & health is an issue to where that baby cant be born then hey so be it.
this is a controversial topic just like the death penalty - dont get me wrong i LOVE kids but when someone makes that decison it has to be respected.
dont be so quick to be judgemental - everyone has their own opinions (this was mine)

WOW! You are really passionate about this. Mandatory contraception for teenagers? I guess it depends on what Country you are in. Not something that should be part of any "Free" societies.
