I'm only 24.. I don't have any children.. I don't plan on having any children... Unless I have an amazing guy.. ....which I don't see happening for a very very very long time considering the way things happened to work themselves out.(nice guys are very very very hard to come by these days)....and a good job ...well I'm almost there...give me 1 more year...However, I'm always told that it's a good thing I don't have kids...by people that have children...single and married... because they are very expensive and you're pretty much going to have to deal with the baby's mamma or baby's daddy drama... so it just depends on if I ever find a great guy... notice I'm not saying perfect... But if I end up not having children.. I'm not going to regret it... because I'm standing by what I"m saying 100%... because I want a happy home... not a broken one..

I decided I didn't want any more children over ten years ago. My husband agreed, so I got lucky, in that the man I love happened to feel the same way I did, so, there was no "battle" over the issue. We had one child 25 years ago, and she was more than enough for us. When we were young, I did want another baby, but my logical husband asked me to wait until we could afford it. I waited. Guess what. Never happened. I learned a life without dirty diapers and formula and stained business suits, day care bills, runny noses, all that stuff, as our daughter passed each of those stages.

I also enjoyed the fact that my body was back in good shape within the first six months of the birth of our daughter and I could wear clothes that I felt good in. By the time I hit my 30's, I knew I was done with the "baby" scene. Frankly, I didn't really care what anyone thought about MY decision. Ultimately, it is the woman's decision. Yup I was baptised a Catholic, but I do firmly believe in the concept of "CHOICE" for women, including the abortion issue. GOD gave us free will, the power of choice, so why should we let any person, man OR woman, take that fundamental right away from us? We are responsible for our own choices, just us, nobody else. We live in America, the home of the brave and the land of the free. Correct?

I say to you, if your choice of not having anymore children is being criticized by ANYONE, just remember, it's up to YOU, not that person who's making you feel badly about YOUR decision. That other person isn't the one who's going to carry the child for nine months then breast feed it, if you can, and deal with more stretch marks, sagging breasts, painful, cracked skin, midnight feedings, all that "wonderful" stuff that goes along with it, not forgetting the absolute "best" of it all, the pain of CHILDBIRTH!!! I don't care what anyone says, it HURTS!! Yes, it's worth it when you see your baby's eyes looking into yours, but if you've already got a baby, a child, and don't want anymore, then just rely on that (or those) memory (ies) to see you through if you think you may want that again.

I have a granddaughter now, and that's plenty to see me through the occasional desire of wanting a baby in my arms. I waited 24 years to get her, but believe me, those years of waiting were more than worth it. There is absolutely NOTHING to compare to the experience of holding of your first (and possibly only) grandchild. Not even motherhood. Grandmotherhood is the ULTIMATE!! Hope this helped you in some way. All the best!!

My sister chose not to have children,at first i was judgemental, but then i realized she was actually doing the right thing, her lifestyle is so busy and upbeat there is no room for a child, she loves her lifestyle and rather than have a baby she doesnt want or cant care for she leaves that blessing for someone else who is willing to make the commitment of having children.I respect her for that!Good luck God bless:O)p.s.my sis is now 30 and still no desire for children.

Don't want them now... I'm 24 and definitely not ready for the screaming at night and all the other responsibilities. Even when you're married, the mother is still the one with the most responsibility for the child. And I'm just not ready for that yet. Not giving up what God gave me just yet, either!!!

we had our one and only daughter when we was 21....was tough but it also was the best thing we ever decided to do. Would not change my decision from the past one bit. Has been great.
