I love short men. I'm 5'2 1/2 and prefer guys that are 5'4-5'7 but taller is ok.

The question is assuming a generalization that ALL women prefer taller men, and that is likely false. However, if we look at why more women prefer tall men vs. short men (and I do believe that is a more accurate statement) it would likely have to do with biological attraction markers. Taller men appear as a stronger, more protective figure - and since anthropologically men were the protectors, it would make sense that women would tend to be attracted more to taller men than to shorter men.
However, it is still only one of a large number of factors which dictates attraction in the opposite sex, many of which are more important to factors of attraction than height.

I guess alot of women want their men to be taller than they are, but there are also women who like shorter men. And if someone truly loves you then it doesn't matter how tall or short you are.

It's genetic; tall guys just make them go week at the knees. But I imagine that a nice short man is better than a tall bad guy. I'd certianly have a nice girl with no t.i.t.s than a nasty one with huge mellons.

i cant say why but i think if u r tall and the man is short thats where the problem lies, im in the same situation here but even though im not that tall, im taller than him, all im scared of is that my children could be short if i marry him.

Well I would have to say that for me it is because I can't wear high heels with them then... I really love high heels....Most guys feel uncomfortable themselves when the girl is taller. But if the guy is great it won't matter anyway...My ex was the same hight as me, I never wore high heels with him and everything was great

For me a guy would definitely have to be taller for me to find him attractive. It's all about protection. I need someone that can provide for me and a family, who can protect us from harm, and who respects me. Its really primative I know, but thats what I need! Looks are less important. I think I get that from my father, you know they say you go for guys like your dad? He's a doctor, and tall.
