Chikungunya is a mosquito borne virus. It lasts for usually a week or less. It can cause body aches, fever, headaches, and sensitivity to light.

If I was in an area with Chikungunya, I would take many of the precautions that I researched below but for a shorter list, don't eat bannanas, or drink sugary drinks as they attract mosquitoes.

Do take a multi-B Vitamin and if you can get some catnip oil, put a few drops in your bath with lavender or orange essential oil each morning and spray some on around 5PM. Many essential oils can help. Put on long pants and wear socks.

Get rid of standing water around your house.

If you get the disease, drink lots of distilled water with a dash of sea salt, take vitamin C and add a zinc supplemt.

If you have access to Tannic Acid, take a small amount each day but take a multi-vitamin with iron.
