In due time the earth will be called Eden or pleasure, in the sense of it being actually a place of pleasure or delight.
Genesis 2:8 reports that God “planted a garden (paradise, park) in Eden, toward the East and there he put the man whom he had formed.” In the Greek Septuagint, the translators used the term paradise; apparently the garden of Eden (paradise of pleasure) was an enclosed park, occupying only a portion of that area called Eden. At any rate, had the couple remained obedient, and did what they were commanded, they would have extended the boundaries of the Garden of Eden until, eventually, the entire earth was a garden of Eden, or paradise of pleasure. They failed. But because this is God’s purpose for the earth, which purpose cannot be defeated, paradise will be restored to earth and eventually the earth in its entirety will be a garden of Eden, a park of pleasure, a paradise of delight. And unlike Adam and Eve who did not wish to be obedient, those who do wish to be obedient from the heart will have the opportunity to live there forever. I can’t wait.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1
"And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden....."
Genesis 2:8
So the earth is called earth and the place where the garden was is called Eden!
That is how God made it and that is how it is.

The Adam and Eve story didn't involve god but the Anannaki, mining gold in that area. Read up on the Sumerian tablets. Humans were around long before then.

Eden was Paradise. I don't think we can call our Earth a Paradise, not after we distroy it the way we do!

The word Eden means "delight." It is meant to refer to a very specific location at the conjunction of the Euphrates and Tigris (along with two other rivers that no longer exist.)

In Islam , It is called " Al Dunya "
Al Dunay= the lowest
It is being the lowest as the target for Muslims are two:
Life on earth and life in heaven
Life on earth is the lowest target, so it should be Al dunya.
The highest target and the first , should be Heaven
