The question can not be answered. The native
Easter Islanders were Polynesians who found the
island late in their period of exploring the Pacific.
They had eliminated all the native forest, and
presumably many of the native animals (of which
there would have been few) before anyone made
any studies of what plants and animals were there.

There were lots of trees, but now there are none left. Sorry, I don't know exact species.
