Is this Chinese phrase 各 奔 前 程 spoken? written? or both spoken and written?

Is there a more common way of expressing 各 奔 前 程 in everyday Chinese?

分道揚鑣( fēn dào yáng biāo)
各奔東西( gè bēn dōng xi )
各行其是( gè xíng qí shì )===>more literary language.
The Chinese people often say that " 各奔前程/各奔東西 "
"分道揚鑣/各行其是" often use in Chinese compositions.
Those are phrases.

You could also say " 就走自己要走的路吧! " ===>colloquial word

It is really a pity if you can speak chinese but can't read or write it well. Speaking chinese alone will not get you anywhere, because you'll never be able to appreciate the finer things in life like chinese literature pieces or paintings. I learn both Chinese (as my mother-tongue) and English in Singapore, due to a government policy that encourages bilingualism, and I'm glad that I can speak, read and write chinese because it allows me to be in touch with my own roots. Perhaps, you may not feel this way because you are not a Chinese but I would still like to tell you that Chinese is a wonderful language/ subject that can really bring you to places. I have to admit, though, that it is rather difficult to master, much much harder than Japanese or French. If you really think that you can only focus on learning one other language and if you truly believe that Spanish is going to be more beneficial in the USA, then i would suggest that you continue taking it. Anyway, it's your own life so you call the shots yourself, and live your own life as how you like it. Whatever decision you make won't matter us anyway. Mastering one language is better than learning two and not being really good at any.
