First of all, I am a Christian and I never feel "outraged" when somebody denies the existence of my God. I feel bad for them because I love them. But I don't feel outraged. And I hang out with HUNDREDS of other Christians and don't know any that do get outraged over that.
And it is not us that "vigorously" denies the existence of other gods, it is God. We are just messengers!
Third, why do you think Christians go to church? Why do you think we read the Bible? Why do you think we pray? All that is for self-examination. We are trying to meet some pretty high standards and it can be difficult to live up to. Part of those standards is the acceptance in our own hearts that there is no other god except the Lord. So the second part of your question helps to answer the first part.
I pray this helped you better understand. May you be blessed!

Yes, I do look at myself. I would not say that I become "outraged" when someone denies the existence of God. I am actually sad that they feel that way. I am also sad for people of other religions. I am sad that they have not found the true God. This may sound ridiculous to you, but it's just how I feel.

Do I ever really look at myself? Yes I do. I believe the only way to change and to grow in the Lord is to see my own character in God's light and with his grace, change those behaviors that are ungodly.
I deny the existence of other gods because I believe the Bible to be the true word of God and He says "thou shalt have no other gods before me."
I do not "vigorously" deny their existence, I simply deny them.
I do not "feel outraged" when someone denies the existence of my God. Belief in my God is something that is done through choice, not intimidation. If someone is interested, I share. If not, I don't.
Please be careful of making absolute statements as you did in your question. You are making a broad generalization of all Christians and it hurts your argument.

I am not outraged when someone denies God's existance. I AM outraged when one religion (atheism) is pushed in schools to the exclusion of any other religious view. (especially when it's pushed under the guise of "science", and pretends not to be a religion).
But in the public square, like on this website, I am not outraged by your (or anyone else's view) about God. Saddened, perhaps, but not outraged. I expect that most people don't know or understand much about God considering how people are raised and "educated" in our society.

Yes, some of them do. And I am one of them. There is a difference between them all and our God. Our God would not have us be outraged, but would have us pray for them instead. Maybe you have experienced people who weren't real Christians at all, or perhaps they were immature in the faith. Or even Satan or his Demons, or Occult members were masquerading as one so as to give you a false impression and turn you off to Christianity. What better way would there be to give you a bad taste about the Lord we love?
I beseech you to not be dismayed by these things, but to sincerely ask God to show you the truth about the whole matter. If you really care, and want to know him if he exists I tell you he will not deny you. I go now to actually pray for you.
MATTHEW 7:12-14
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
God Bless You.

I am not sure "outraged" is the right word.
All religions exclude other religions. Some say, "we all worship one god but use different names". They are excluding the exclusivists, i. e. "you can't exclude another person's god(s)" - which does exclude a God that says "I'm the only God".
Islam teaches that its god's nature cannot be known. The true God of Christianity can be known through Jesus Christ. Christians know their God is holy, just, loving, morally perfect (completely good), self-existent etc. etc. There is a fundamental difference is the essence of the true Christian God and the pretend Islamic god. Both cannot be correct because they are opposites.
I would invite you to investigate Christianity through the Bible, a local church (Christian, not Mormon or Jehovah's Witness) and prayer.

The many gods are man made. The only true God; creator of heaven, earth, sea, and every thing in them, is also YOUR God. We don't get outraged, we hurt for you. Because you have no understanding and are living in darkness. You may deny the true God, but He still will exist. We will all stand before Him and give an account of our lives. Read John ch 1, and Romans ch.1. Then read John chapter 3.

True Christians do.
It is important to distinguish true religion and what we see as religion on planet earth. God made man in His image and gave him the power of choice. But He also gave man some guidelines. Millions confuse religion with Christianity. Also, True Christians are humans and sometimes demonstrate canalities. I have defined religion as MAN trying to find God, please God through MAN's own effort. But Christianity is God, living heaven and coming to live inside MAN. As long as the Christian recognise that the life he/she lives aint his/hers, there's really no point in being outraged at some ignorant persons who denies the existence of Jehovah God!
Likewise, Christians are much more tolerable in this present dispensation than most other religious groups I am aware of. It is God's desire that a Christian through his/her exemporary lifestyle will draw others to His service.

Yes, I look at myself everyday, both in the mirror and in the light of scriptures.
I do not feel outraged when someone denies the existence of God. I follow God in being Pro-choice.
Choose right or choose wrong, it's your choice.
(BTW, He's YOUR God too, like it or not!)

I am a Christian, but I believe God UNDERSTANDS that it's extremely difficult for us to believe in something we can't see -- that's why it's called faith. But He also understands the heart and I think it pleases Him that a lot of us are struggling for understanding. Seeking Him in different ways and through different religions which are mostly man's traditions. None of us should judge others or feel outraged that someone doesn't agree with us. God will be the judge and he is fair. GOD IS LOVE. Do we believe in love? Then we will show that love toward others by our words and actions. Get it?
Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. [ good or bad ]
