Hair is made up with color molecules
Black to white.
ie. black-red-orange-yellow-white
the hardest molecules to remove are the darker ones.
If you are successful in removing the original color consider what has been removed in order to replace the original color.
Consider dark hair that has been lightened to yellow, then add target color brown....ummmm nice muddy green red has to be added first to fill removed molecules.....Lot of info. See a color specialist. If not I liked the henna idea, it'll be more red than brown though. :)

my experience says no. not even if u bleach them. if u want 2 try a safer 1st try, try wid henna, n if dat gives even a tinge of color 2 ur hair, means, bleaching n then color may work. and another tip, if u want dark brown hair, use the lightest brown. then only can black hair reach some darker brown.

You need to buy a hair stripper first! It will take the color out of your hair and you can have it any color you want!

I don't think so. If I remember correctly, at salons they usually "lighten" your earlier hair, to make the (new) lighter color show. If you're highlighting your hair, then it depends on the exact shade you have bought, and the product itself. Check the instructions.

Pretty much all hair dyes change the colour by darkening parts of it.
Unless your die has bleach or lightener of some kind in it it shouldn't show up

Doubtful...it will probably lighten it up a little, but not very much at all. Let me know if I am wrong tho...my hair is black and I would LOVE to go lighter!!!!
