I recently received an engagement ring after one month of dating. I was happy at first, but then found pictures on my fiancee's computer of him and his ex celebrating their engagement! Not only had he lied to me about being priorly engaged, the ring he gave me is the same exact thing, except that he got me a new band. He denied all of it for quite a while, saying that that engagement was not "real" and that he loves me more than anything else in the world. He wanted to be engaged to me, but could not afford to buy another $8.600 dollar ring, so he gave me his ex's. I am angry about this! what do you guys think? I broke up with him, and he was crying like a baby, saying that he will never love anyone the way he loved me, and that he only lied because he was afraid to loose me.....

is a ring worth losing the relationship and the man you love? he did it cuz he's a dumb guy who choked under pressure. do this..sit him down..tell him to be straigh up honest with everything n try to see if you can accept him back. but if he's a chronic liar..sell the ring and go on vacation lol

how long has it been since he broke up with this girl? and engagement after a MONTH?
take it from me, unless it's been at least a year since his ex left him, he doesn't really want to marry you, he wants the security he would have had with his ex. he needs to deal with his feelings now, he's probably been putting that off. he needs to grieve over his last relationship and get over it.
i dated a guy in a situation similar to yours. i was much younger and marriage didn't come up right away, but about 4 months into it he started mentioning it. i was 17 and he was 16. i was dumb and though he was joking. when i broke up with him a year later he stalked me for another three months.
i'm not saying that'll happen to you, but don't get back with him. it'll end VERY messy.

a person who lies just sux....using 'only lied because he was afraid to loose me.....' is such a lousy excuese...next time whn it comes to havin an affair...e same lame reason will appear again...recycled is already bad enough....now tt he continued lying tryin to scrape pass...tt's such a bad sign...
not trustworthy at all...dumpin is e right move...being a guy myself i totally feel disgraced by his action...
